The Traffic Commission consists of seven (7) members, appointed by City Council for three (3) year terms.

Board Functions
The Traffic Commission decides matters relating to traffic control and prepares rules and regulations affecting traffic on local streets.

Permit Applications
Modification to Traffic Control ($190) This application is for traffic control, stop signs, crosswalk, etc. requests. Submittal of this application does not guarantee placement of any traffic control device. This application begins a study of the traffic flow through the requested area using American Association of State Highway Officials (AASHTO) guidelines.

Modification to Parking ($35) This application is for installation of time restricted parking, a general handicapped space or vehicle specific handicapped space. Submittal of this application does not guarantee placement of regulated parking space.

(A temporary handicapped permit is available from the City Manager's Office (City Hall, 406 Ivinson Street) if circumstances, illness, accident, surgery, etc., create a need for a temporary handicapped parking space.)
