Single Stream Recycling - New Program Started September 1, 2011
On September 1, 2011 the City of Laramie and Waste Management teamed up to provide City of Laramie residents with reliable single stream recycling services. During the first full year of the program Laramie residents diverted 2 Million pounds of single stream recyclables away from the Laramie Landfill.

About Single Stream Recycling
This means you can put all your recyclables together, no sorting needed! Use your brown 96 gallon cart with the blue lid to place all your standard recyclables together. In order to ensure pickup, your recycling cart must be properly placed in the collection area by 7:00 am on your scheduled collection day. Your collection cart must be removed from its collection area by 6:00 pm, or when the receptacle is emptied, whichever is later. Your collection cart should be at least two feet away from any vehicle or other obstacle (mailbox, tree, fence, driveway edge if blocked, etc.), in order to give the automated truck arm proper clearance for dumping the cart. Your recycling collection will be on the same day as your garbage collection, every other week. Please do not bag your recyclables.
