ANIMAL CONTROL OFFICERS ARE ON DUTY DAILY 8:00 - 6:00

Welcome to the Laramie Animal Shelter's website! Please understand that adopting a pet requires commitment and patience. Your decision to adopt a pet should be well thought out. Considerations should include type of pet, size of pet, your schedule, age of your children, having a fenced yard or kennel, financial stability, and, finally, where you plan to be in 5 years, 10 years, or even 15 years. Thank you for supporting the Laramie Animal Shelter. We hope you find the perfect compainion!

In an effort to halt the overpopulation of unwanted pets, the Laramie Animal Shelter requires the sterilization of all adopted animals. The City of Laramie Animal Shelter does not guarantee the health or temperment of any animal adopted or redeemed from our facility.

Educational programs are available for all ages.  Please contact us for more information.

For information on housebreaking, crate training, and other pet behavioral issues we suggest the Denver Dumb Friends League website www.ddfl.org

For the welfare of both cats and native wildlife, especially songbirds, the Laramie Animal Shelter staff strongly urges that cats be kept indoors. For more information check out the American Bird Conservancy website www.abcbirds.org
