City Council
The City of Laramie operates under the Council/Manager form of government. City Council consists of nine members who serve overlapping four-year terms. There are now two at-large Council seats and seven seats to be elected from wards; one from each ward. Formerly, all nine Council seats were at-large positions, but the ward system went into place starting in the 2002 election. As the members come up for reelection, the ward positions will be filled. The mayor and the vice-mayor are selected by the Council every two years at the first Council meeting in January.
City Council meetings are held in Council Chambers, City Hall, 406 Ivinson Avenue, Laramie, Wyoming, unless otherwise posted.
